 SECURITY+ (SY0-701) EXAM INSTRUCTIONS

 Security+ Exam 90 minutes

Passing score 750 out of 900

Usually 75 to 85 questions, maximum of 90 questions

The first few questions are simulations

Everything else is multiple-choice.

There is only one answer if there are round radio buttons for the answers.

If there are squares, the question's end will tell you to Choose / Select 2, 3, or 4.

At the very top right is the timer.

Below is a "Flag for Review" button. Answer something if you run out of time.

At the bottom right is the following button.

At the bottom left is the "Review All" button.

In the preview window, you might see "Incomplete," meaning you didn't answer the question or select enough answers.

Also, in the preview window, you will see "Flagged for Review." Once you have selected your answer, uncheck the flag at the upper right corner.

If you are still trying to determine an answer, eliminate the options you know are wrong and take your best guess. Do not leave a question unanswered.

Here is a way to reveal the wireless password for the network you are currently connected to if you have forgotten it by chance.

To begin with, select the Windows logo on your keyboard and the "R" at the same time. This opens the run command. Now type in the following command: ncpa. Cpl xd and hit enter. Follow the video for additional steps.

Security+ (Site Considerations)

 Site Considerations

Hot site: It is fully functional, and all the equipment and data are mirrored to the site. Failover is immediate, lasting minutes.

Warm Site: Has all of the equipment, but functional data needs to be restored from backups. Failover time is hours.

Cold Site: Empty building, you might have pre-configured routers, switches, & firewall on the shelf at the main site. Failover time is days.
